Biography
Angie de Latour is a Melbourne-based painter whose work engages with and reflects her current environment. Her work explores the concept of place, from the constantly evolving nature of local streetscapes to interior spaces, and the objects and people that inhabit them.
Angie de Latour’s work is held in public and private collections in Australia and overseas. She has exhibited widely and been a finalist in a range of national art awards. These include: the Len Fox Painting Award, the Mosman Art Prize, the Salon des Refusés (Wynne selection), the Calleen Art Award, the National Still Life Award, the Lester Art Prize, the Paddington Art Prize and the Shirley Hannan National Portrait Award. Angie holds a Master of Fine Art and a Master of Visual Art from the Victorian College of the Arts, and a Bachelor of Design from Swinburne University, where she taught Graphic Design for 8 years.
